Applies to: Intego ONE for Mac · Firewall
If Intego ONE’s speed test or another speed test won’t run while the firewall is on, try these steps in order. Continue only if the previous step doesn’t help.
❶ Try the built-in Intego ONE speed test
- Open Intego ONE and go to the Firewall dashboard.
- Find the Speed Test section and select Speed Test.
- Wait for the test to finish, then review the results.
See Firewall: Speed Test for more detail.
➋ Check for a Firewall block on external speed test services
If you're trying to use an external speed test (speedtest.net, fast.com, or a desktop speed test app) and it won't load or run:
- Open Intego ONE and go to Firewall > Traffic Control Settings.
- Search for a Block rule that matches the speed test’s domain or desktop app.
- If you find one, remove it or change it to Allow.
- If there’s no matching rule, select + and create an Allow rule for the domain or app.
- Run the speed test again.
Still not resolved?
If you're still unable to run a speed test after trying the steps above, submit a request and include:
- The speed test you’re using, such as Intego ONE’s built-in test, a website, or a desktop app.
- Whether it works when the Firewall is temporarily disabled
- The exact error message, if any
- A screenshot or screen recording of what happens when you try to run the test
