Is My Intego Software Compatible With My Mac?

Whether you just updated macOS, or you're switching to a new Apple Silicon Mac, it's smart to double check that your Intego software will keep working smoothly. The good news: both Intego ONE and Intego X9 stay up to date with new macOS releases — here's everything you need to know, organized by product.

Intego ONE

Intego ONE requires macOS 12.4 or later, including macOS Sequoia (15.x) and macOS Tahoe (26) — both fully supported. It also runs natively on both Intel and Apple Silicon (M-series) Macs, so there's no compatibility layer or performance penalty either way.

If your Mac runs an older version of macOS than 12.4, Intego ONE isn't compatible — see How Do I Get Protection for My Older Mac? for your options.

Intego X9

Intego X9 is fully compatible with macOS versions from Catalina through Sequoia, provided your individual X9 applications are updated to at least the versions listed below:

Product Catalina (10.15) Big Sur (11) Monterey (12) Ventura (13) Sequoia (15)
VirusBarrier 10.9.22 10.9.35 10.9.54 10.9.64 10.9.94
NetBarrier 10.9.13 10.9.14 10.9.20 10.9.35
Washing Machine 10.9.7 10.9.7 10.9.9 10.9.14 10.9.25
Personal Backup 10.9.7 10.9.9 10.9.12 10.9.17 10.9.25
ContentBarrier 10.9.6 10.9.7 10.9.10 10.9.17 10.9.25
NetUpdate 10.9.9 10.9.13 10.9.19 10.9.25 10.9.37
Common Components 10.9.13 10.9.19 10.9.20 10.9.25 10.9.39

Using an Apple Silicon (M-series) Mac? X9 supports M-series Macs natively starting with VirusBarrier 10.9.52 and higher (earlier versions run via Rosetta 2 instead). All other X9 apps listed above are natively compatible as-is.

Running a beta version of macOS Tahoe? X9 isn't officially supported on macOS Tahoe beta versions. If you'd like to receive beta-track updates for your X9 software in the meantime, you can opt in under NetUpdate > Scheduling preferences — though these updates are for Intego's own software, not guaranteed compatibility fixes for macOS betas. Once Tahoe is officially released, standard X9 updates will bring full compatibility.

Keeping X9 Up to Date

Make sure your X9 software is currently using NetUpdate — see How to Check for Updates to Intego Software and Find Your Intego Software Version Numbers.

Just upgraded macOS and something's not working right? If your X9 software isn't behaving as expected after a macOS update, a reinstall often resolves it. You can find installers at Software Downloads.
