Constant Network Permission enable request

This guide provides step-by-step instructions to resolve repeated pop-ups or notifications requesting approval for Intego ONE network permissions or extensions.

Enable Network Protection/Extension

Ensure that the Intego ONE network protection/extension is approved and enabled in macOS.

1. Open System Settings.

2. Navigate to General.

3. Go to Login items & Extensions.

4. Scroll to Network Extensions.

5. Select the “By App” or “By Category” tab.

6. Click on the information icon (i) for the Intego ONE application.

7. Ensure that Intego ONE’s Network Extension is Enabled.

8. When prompted, enter your Mac Admin Password and click Ok.

9. Select allow to permit Intego to filter Network Content.

  • Note: You may see a separate notification window asking to "allow" all running applications and systems to access your Network permissions through the Firewall tool.

App Update

Ensure that Intego ONE is updated to the latest version.

  1. On your Intego ONE, open Settings.
  2. Go to General and click Check for Updates.
  3. If a new version is available, follow the prompts to update the app manually.

Clean App Reinstallation

Perform a clean app reinstallation to eliminate the possibility of a corrupted installation on the previous installation.

  1. Reboot your device: Ensure that the Intego ONE app is not running in the background first by restarting your Mac.
  2. Uninstall Intego ONE: Once it reboots, uninstall the app by following the steps outlined here.  
  3. Access Your Account: Go to Intego.com/one, click Sign In, and log in using your registered email address and password.
  4. Download Installer: From the Intego Account Overview page, scroll down to find the Download option.. In the Subscription & Billing section, choose Download Installer.
  5. Locate the File: Open your Finder and go to your Downloads folder.
  6. Start Installation: Double-click the .pkg file to launch the installer.
  7. Allow permissions: When prompted, ensure to allow app permissions. 
  8. Observe: Check whether the Network Extension permission prompt continues to appear after the app has been installed.

MacOS update

Make sure your Mac is running the latest version of macOS to see if this fixes the issue.

  1. Click the Apple menu () in the top-left corner of your screen.
  2. Select System Settings (or System Preferences on older macOS).
  3. Go to General → Software Update.
  4. If an update is available, click Update Now or Upgrade Now.
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts and restart your Mac if required.
  6. After restart, verify the update by checking Apple menu → About This Mac → Version.
  7. Once done, observe if the Network Extension permission prompt continues to appear after the macOS update.
