The following steps outline how to perform a Quick Cleanup — this both scans your Mac and removes junk/large files you approve, in one action.
Starting the Cleanup
- Launch the application by clicking its icon in the taskbar.
- Select Open to access the Dashboard.
- Go to the SmartClean Dashboard.
- In the Accessory View, select Clean Now to start the Quick Cleanup.
Monitoring the Cleanup
- A notification confirms the app is awaiting results, visible in the Content View and the Dashboard's upper-right corner.
- You can Hide or Cancel the process at any time.

Reviewing Your Results
Once complete, a summary shows:
- Operation Type — the scan category performed
- Date and Duration
- Reclaimed Space — total space recovered
