Managing Intego ONE System Permission

Applies to: Intego ONE for Mac · macOS 12.4 and later

Some features — like Real-Time Protection, the Firewall, and SmartClean — need macOS permissions to work. If a feature won't enable, or you're seeing repeated permission prompts, these steps usually fix it. Only move to the next step if the previous one didn't help.

Grant Full Disk Access

Intego ONE may require Full Disk Access to scan your Mail, Messages, Safari files, and other user data — without it, Intego software can't protect your data as intended.

Grant Full Disk Access.gif
  1. Go to the Apple Menu > System Settings
  2. Within the left hand menu bar select “Privacy & Security”
  3. On the right side of the menu bar scroll down till you find “Full Disk Access”
  4. Find Intego ONE in the list and toggle it On.
  5. Enter your Mac administrator password when prompted.

Grant Network Protection (Network Extension)

Grant Network Protection (Network Extension).gif
  1. Open System Settings > General > Login Items & Extensions.
  2. Scroll to Network Extensions and select the By App or By Category tab.
  3. Click the info (i) icon next to Intego ONE and confirm its Network Extension is Enabled.
  4. Enter your Mac administrator password when prompted, and click OK.
  5. Quit and then relaunch the applicationGra
  6. Select Allow to permit Intego ONE to filter network content.
Note — If macOS shows "System Extension Blocked," open Privacy & Security, click Allow next to the Intego entry, then restart your Mac.
Note — You may see a separate prompt asking to allow all running applications and systems to access your network permissions through the Firewall tool — this is expected and can be allowed.

Note — The steps above apply to macOS Sequoia 15 and Tahoe 26. If your Mac is running an older version, the menu path is slightly different:

  • macOS Ventura 13  & Sonoma 14: Apple menu > System Settings > General > Login Items & Extensions.
  • macOS Monterey 12 and earlier: Apple menu > System Preferences > Users & Groups, then select your user account and click the Login Items tab.

If you're not sure which macOS version you're running, click the Apple menu > About This Mac to check before proceeding.

Update Intego ONE

Manually Update Application.gif
  1. Open the Intego ONE app > Settings > General and click Check for Updates.
  2. Install any available update, then re-check that both permissions above are still enabled.

Reinstall Intego ONE and update macOS

If permissions still won't stick, or prompts keep reappearing:

  1. Go to Help in Intego ONE menu bar > Uninstall to fully remove the app.
  2. Sign in to My Account, go to Overview, and click Download for a fresh copy.
  3. Install the app and grant both permissions again when prompted.
  4. Separately, check for macOS updates: System Settings > General > Software Update. Install any available update and restart if required.

Still not resolved?

If a feature still won't enable after trying the steps above, Generate a debug log report and submit a request and include:

  • Which feature won't enable (Real-Time Protection, Firewall, SmartClean, etc.)
  • Whether you're seeing a specific error, or repeated permission prompts
  • Whether the prompt reappears immediately after granting permission, or after a delay
  • Your macOS version
