Applies to: Intego ONE for Mac · Antivirus
If Intego ONE can’t repair, ignore, or trust a flagged file, or the same threat keeps returning, try these steps in order. Move to the next step only if the problem continues.
❶ Try Repair or Trust from the Quarantine menu
- Open Intego ONE and go to Antivirus > Quarantined Files.
- Find the flagged file and choose an action:
- Repair: Attempts to remove the harmful content while keeping the safe parts of the file.
- Trust: Marks the file as safe and excludes it from future scans. Choose this only if you’re certain the file is safe.
- Ignore: Removes the warning from the quarantine list without changing the file. This doesn’t make the file safe.
- Confirm your choice.
➋ Restart your Mac
- Select Apple menu > Restart.
- After your Mac restarts, open Intego ONE.
- Return to Antivirus > Quarantined Files and try the action again.
➌ Uninstall and reinstall Intego ONE
Reinstalling Intego ONE may fix a problem that prevents the app from managing a flagged file.
- Open Intego ONE and select Help > Uninstall.
- Follow the instructions to remove the app, then restart your Mac.
- Sign in to My Account, open Overview, and select Download.
- Install Intego ONE, run another scan, and try managing the file again.
➍ Manually delete the file
If Intego ONE still can’t remove the file:
- Use the file location shown in the scan results to find it in Finder.
- Close any app that may be using the file.
- Move the file to Trash.
- Empty Trash only if you’re certain you don’t need the file.
| Important: Don’t delete a system file or use Recovery Mode unless Intego Support tells you to. Removing the wrong file could stop your Mac or an app from working properly. |
