What is Full Disk Access?
Intego ONE software may require Full Disk Access to scan your Mail, Messages, Safari files, and other user data.
Full Disk Access provides full permission to access a user's protected files. This way, only applications that are approved can gain access. In previous versions of macOS, this permission was automatically given to all applications at the time of installation. If a user chooses not to give Full Disk Access, some data on the Mac will not be accessible. This is especially important for applications that need to perform specific tasks, such as scanning for malware.
If you do not allow Full Disk Access, your Intego software cannot protect your data as intended.
Enabling Full Disk Access
Upon installation of Intego ONE
- Upon completing the installation of the Intego ONE app, a prompt to enable Full Disk Access will appear. Click the “Open System Settings…” button.
- The System Settings box will appear, displaying the list of applications you can give Full Disk Access to.
- Toggle on the Full Disk Access for Intego ONE and then enter your device username and password.
- After entering your device username and password, the change will take effect.
Manual Enabling of Full Disk Access
Aside from the prompt upon installation, you may also manually enable Full Disk Access for Intego ONE:
- From your Dock or Finder, click the System Settings.
- The System Settings box will appear, displaying the list of applications you can give Full Disk Access to.
- Toggle on the Full Disk Access for Intego ONE and then enter your device username and password.
- After entering your device username and password, the change will take effect.
