I would like to protect my iOS devices from Malware. Does Intego ONE offer a solution for me?

Yes, Intego ONE's Antivirus feature protects iOS devices.

The Intego ONE Antivirus feature is a macOS application. The Antivirus Protection can NOT be installed directly on an iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad. This means that for scanning an iOS device, your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad must be connected to a Mac running Intego ONE. It will scan as many iOS devices as you own, regardless of the type of license you have.

How Does Intego ONE Antivirus Scan iOS Devices?

Here are the steps to scan an iOS device with the Custom Scan using Intego ONE:

To initiate a Custom Scan for an iOS Device:

1. Click the application icon in the taskbar.unnamed (31).png

2. Select the "Open" icon to display the application Dashboard.

4. In the Accessory View, select the iOS device icon next to the “Start” button for the Custom Scan.

Monitoring the scan:

  • A notification message will appear on the Content View section and the top right corner of the Dashboard, indicating that the app is waiting for scan results.
  • An active counter will display the number of files being scanned.
  • Within the View Section, you have options to Hide or Cancel the scan.

Reviewing Scan Results for iOS:

  • Once the scan is complete, the Content View will update to show your iOS device's status. It will provide recommendations for next steps and/or display the results of any detected threats.

Important Note on Threat Remediation:

  • Unlike with macOS, the Intego ONE: antivirus feature cannot directly address threats detected on an iOS device (iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch). This feature serves only to notify you of a possible threat. You must resolve the detected threat directly on your iOS device.
