SmartClean: App Uninstaller

The ONE application's App Uninstaller feature, accessible via the SmartClean Dashboard, allows users to manage and remove installed applications.

These steps use Intego ONE Application version 1.3.3. Please note that the interface and specific steps may appear differently in newer versions.

Accessing the App Uninstaller

Navigate to SmartClean Uninstaller.gif
  1. Click the ONE application's icon in the taskbar to launch it.
  2. Navigate to the Dashboard by selecting the "Open" icon.
  3. Proceed to the SmartClean Dashboard.
  4. In the Content View section, select the "App Uninstaller" setting.

Viewing Application Details

The Accessory View provides a comprehensive overview of the applications installed on your machine:

  • Last opened application
  • First opened application
  • Total number of applications installed
  • Amount of Internal storage used

Analyzing the Content View

The Content View section lists all installed applications, displaying the following details:

  1. The Name of the application installed
  2. The date the application was last opened.
  3. Its size, including all associated components.
  4. The ability to expand each application to view a list of all sub-processes and files.

  1. The location of the application within Finder can be viewed by:
    1. Selecting the arrow icon.

  1. Alternatively, selecting the three horizontal dots and choosing “Reveal in Finder” from the drop-down menu.

Uninstalling an Application

To uninstall an application and all its associated components:

  1. Select the desired application from the list.
  2. Select "Uninstall Now".
    1. Alternatively, hover over the application/process and select the three vertical dots and choose “Uninstall  [application name]” from the drop-down menu.
  3. In the pop-up window, select "Yes, Uninstall" to confirm the removal.
  4. Enter your Mac Admin password in the subsequent pop-up window to finalize the removal.
    1. Note: Not all applications require Admin permissions to be removed.
