SmartClean: Manage CPU

How to Access and Use the SmartClean CPU Dashboard in ONE

These steps use Intego ONE Application version 1.3.3. Please note that the interface and specific steps may appear differently in newer versions.

Accessing the Dashboard:

  1. Launch the application by clicking its icon in the taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the Dashboard by selecting the "Open" icon.
  3. Go to the SmartClean Dashboard.
  4. Select the "CPU" setting in the Content View section.

Viewing CPU Information (Accessory View):

The Accessory View provides a comprehensive overview of processes consuming the most CPU power. Here you can see:

  • The number of System and User apps currently running.
  • The number of Active CPU Cores.
  • Your CPU Temperature.
  • The percentage of CPU Load (broken down by System and User processes).

Managing Running Applications and Processes (Content View):

The Content View section lists all running applications and processes. Within this list, you can:

  1. Application/Process Details: The name of the application or process running.
  2. Check Duration: See how long each application and process has been running.
  3. Monitor CPU Usage: View the percentage of CPU load each application or process is currently using.
  4. View Details: Expand a specific process to see a detailed list of its sub-processes.
  1. Locate in Finder:
    • Select the arrow icon to find the application/process location in your Finder.
  • Alternatively, select the three vertical dots and choose “Reveal in Finder” from the drop-down menu.

Quitting a Running Application or Process:

To stop a running application or process:

  1. Select the desired application or process from the list.
  2. Select the action “Quit Selected.”
    • Alternatively, select the three horizontal dots and choose “Quit [application name]” from the drop-down menu.       
  3. Confirm the action by selecting “Yes, Quit” within the pop-up window.
