Managing Scheduled Scans in the Antivirus Dashboard

This guide outlines the steps for creating, viewing, editing, and removing scheduled antivirus scans.

Creating a Scheduled Scan

1. Access the Dashboard: Go to the Antivirus Main Dashboard.

2. Navigate to Schedule: In the Content View section, select the "Schedule" setting within the Scheduled Scans options.

3. Choose Scan Type: Select either a Full Scan or a Quick Scan.

4. Set Repeat Frequency: Choose how often the scan should repeat: Daily, Weekly, or Monthly

5. Configure Time and Day: The exact configuration depends on the chosen frequency:

  • Daily: Select the scan time (9 AM, 12 AM, 9 PM, or Manually choose a specific time).

  • Weekly: First, select the repeat day (Sun - Sat). Then, select the scan time (9 AM, 12 AM, 9 PM, or Manually choose a specific time).

  • Monthly: First, choose the predetermined repeat time (First Day, First weekday, Last Day, Last weekday). Then, select the scan time (9 AM, 12 AM, 9 PM, or Manually choose a specific time).

6. Finalize: Select "Create" to schedule the scan

Viewing Scheduled Scans

  • The Scheduled Scan setting widget will display the date and time of the Next scheduled scan

  • Selecting the Scheduled Scan setting widget provides an overview of all currently scheduled scans.

Managing and Editing Scans

The overview allows you to manage and remove existing scans.

  • Create New: Click the (+) icon in the upper right corner to create a new scan.

Editing an Existing Scan

1. Select the Scan: Choose the desired scheduled scan listed in the Content View section.

2. Access Edit:

  • Select the "Edit" action located in the upper right corner.

  • Alternatively, select the three vertical dots (located in the upper right corner of the content view or by hovering over the scan) and choose "Edit”.

3. Make Changes: Modify the Scan Type and Repeat time options as needed.

4. Save Changes: Select "Save".

Removing an Existing Scan

1. Select the Scan: Choose the desired scheduled scan listed in the Content View section.

2. Access Remove:

  • Select the "Remove" action located in the upper right corner

  • Alternatively, select the three vertical dots (located in the upper right corner of the content view or by hovering over the scan) and choose "Remove”.

3. Confirmation: 

  • Within the pop-up window select “Remove” to confirm the removal of the scan.

  • The scan will be cancelled and removed from the list
