ONE Scan (tray menu) - A quick scan that can be launched directly from the app’s tray menu for fast, on-demand checks.
Here are the steps to start a ONE Scan:
1. Click the application icon in the taskbar.
2. Select the "Open" icon to display the application Dashboard.
Note: You can also start a "ONE Scan" from the drop-down menu when clicking the taskbar icon
3. On the "Home" Content View section, select "Start ONE Scan."
4. A notification confirming the start of the scan will appear on the Content View section and the top right corner of the Dashboard.
5. After the scan is complete, the Content View will update with your Mac's status:
- Actively Protected: Your Mac is secure, and no viruses or threats were found.
- Threats Detected: If a virus or threat is found, you will have the option to go to the settings to resolve the issue.
Monitoring the scan:
- A notification message will appear on the Content View section and the top right corner of the Dashboard, indicating that the app is waiting for scan results.
- An active counter will display the number of files being scanned.
- Within the View Section, you have options to Hide or Cancel the scan.
Reviewing Scan Results:
- After the scan finishes, the Content View updates with your Mac's status.
- If Threats are Detected:
- A (!) icon will appear along with the number of detected malware.
- The Content View results will offer the option to View the Results of your scan.
- A pop-up notification will also appear, detailing the flagged items and providing the option to Review the flagged file or acknowledge the flag by clicking “OK”.
Addressing Detected Threats (Quarantined Files):
- Selecting “View Results” opens the Quarantined Files setting.
- Here, you can review the flagged file and choose how to handle it:
- Repair
- Ignore
- Trust
