How to downgrade my Intego ONE subscription?

If you'd like to switch to a lower-tier Intego ONE plan or reduce the number of devices covered under your subscription, this guide explains how the process works. Downgrading isn't available as a direct action within your account — instead, it requires a short workaround, outlined below.

Heads up: If you run into any issues along the way, or aren't sure which option is right for your situation, our support team is happy to help — see the "Still Having Trouble?" section below.

Step 1: Turn Off Auto-Renewal

Since you can't switch directly to a new plan, the first step is to stop your current subscription from auto-renewing. This won't cancel your plan right away — it simply ensures you won't be charged again at your next renewal date— you'll keep your existing plan's features and device coverage until it naturally expires, so you can purchase your new plan once your current one ends.

  1. Sign in to your Intego Account.
  2. Go to Billing & Invoices from the left-hand menu.
  3. In the Billing Info section, click Turn Off Auto-Renewal.
  4. Review the pop-up details, then confirm by selecting Turn Off Auto-Renewal.

Step 2: Purchase Your New Plan

Once your current subscription has expired (or been cancelled — see below if you'd rather not wait), head to our order page and purchase the plan you'd like instead — whether that's a lower-tier bundle, fewer covered devices, or both.

Would rather not wait for your term to end? Depending on how recently you purchased or renewed, you may be eligible for a refund on your current subscription under our 30-day money-back guarantee, allowing you to purchase your new plan right away instead of waiting for your current one to expire. Refund eligibility depends on your purchase date and other conditions — see [About Intego's Refund Policy] for full details on qualifying and how to request one.

Still Having Trouble?

If you have questions about downgrading your plan or device count, refunding your current subscription, or the Turn Off Auto-Renewal process doesn't work as expected, submit a request and include:

  • Your current plan and device count, and what you'd like to switch to
  • Whether you're hoping to wait for your term to end, or would prefer a refund to switch sooner
  • Whether the Turn Off Auto-Renewal option appears on your Billing & Invoices page at all
  • The exact error message, if any
