Main Screen Summary
The summary view section displays information and actions related to your VPN connection.
- Your current connection status.
- Your public or connected VPN server IP address and location will be displayed here.
- Ability to connect or disconnect to the VPN.
When connected to the VPN, you will see the IP address and name of the server location (1) you are using appear within the summary views section.
Additionally, when connected, you will also see the physical location of the server location you are connected to on a map (2).
Server Location Options
The accessory view section allows you to manage your VPN connection by:
- Selected Location: Select or switch the server location you wish to connect to.
- Recommended Location: Displays and allows you to select a recommended server location based on your physical location.
- Previous Selected Location: Shows the previously selected location
VPN Locations
Within the VPN Locations section, you will be provided a comprehensive list of all server locations that you are able to connect to.
Within the content view section (right side of the dashboard), the application displays:
- A list of all available server locations.
- The number of servers available in each region.
- The latency for each server.
Within the accessory view section (left side of the dashboard) the application displays:
- View the number of server locations available by region.
VPN Protocol
Within the VPN Protocol section, you will be able to optimize the VPN performance and privacy by selecting your preferred connection protocol.
The following protocols can be found under this section:
- Automatic: protocol by default, selects the best protocol for your network
- Lightway - UDP: optimized for speed and security, includes *post-quantum protection
- Lightway - TCP: more reliable on certain networks, slower than UDP but still includes *post-quantum protection
("Post-quantum protection" is a security feature that uses special, quantum-resistant algorithms to safeguard user data from the threat of future quantum computers.)
Kill Switch
The Kill Switch stops all internet traffic if the VPN disconnects unexpectedly, preventing data leaks.
