Quarantined Files
What is “Quarantine”?
Antivirus Quarantine isolates suspected infected files in a secure location, preventing them from running or spreading. Intego ONE automatically quarantines such files, protecting all users and systems, including read-only devices (e.g. CD-ROMs). This protection is active only with a current subscription and with the Intego ONE app installed.
Handling Virus/Malware Detections in the ONE Application
When a file, document, or application is flagged as containing a virus or malware, either through a Real-time scan (after adding a new item) or a manual scan (Full, Quick, Custom, or scheduled), the ONE application will notify you in several ways:
- Content View Icon: A (!) icon will appear on the content view, along with a summary of the number of detected threats.
- Taskbar Notification: The application's taskbar icon will show a red dot.
- Pop-up Alert: A pop-up notification will detail the flagged items and give you the options to Review the file or acknowledge the alert by clicking “OK”.
Managing Detected Threats
After a scan is complete or a detection occurs, you can manage the threats by navigating to the Quarantine setting:
1. Select Show the Results or Review after a scan, or manually go to the Quarantine Setting located within the Antivirus Main Setting Dashboard.
2. The Quarantine content view displays a complete list of all flagged files and applications awaiting your review.
3. When you select a quarantined file or application, you are given three options:
- Repair: This option restores your computer to a safe state. This action may involve deleting the malicious file, uninstalling the problematic application, or removing macros from Microsoft Office files.
- Ignore: This removes the file from the quarantine list without making any changes to the file itself.
- Trust: Selecting this indicates that you have confirmed the file is not a threat. The file will not be analyzed in the future and will be moved to the Safe List.

The Safe List displays all files that customers have marked as trusted and/or have been moved from the quarantine list. Items under the Safe List are also excluded from being scanned by the Antivirus.
